A PR AGENCY IN DELHI should change what search says about you.

Maybe you’ve already worked with a public relations firm in Delhi. You got a launch, a press release and a report full of pickups with big reach numbers.

Then a customer asked ChatGPT for the best options in your industry, and it listed three competitors. Not you.

That’s usually when people start looking for a PR agency in Delhi again.

What went wrong with your public relations?

In most cases, it’s where your coverage appeared. Wire pickups on websites nobody reads don’t change what Google or AI tools believe about your brand.

Ahrefs studied 75,000 brands and found brand mentions across the web tracked AI Overview visibility far more closely than backlinks did.

This tells you something useful about public relations in India.

Search engines trust what credible publications say about you, again and again, more than what you say yourself.

That’s why AB Media Co starts with a map of the publications, review websites and comparison pages AI tools already cite for your industry.

Then your public relations work splits into two kinds. Earned stories go to journalists when you have news, data or a founder view, and sponsored features run with a sponsored label.

Here’s what’s left out on purpose: events, press conferences, celebrity, film or influencer management, and crisis management. A paid placement is also never described as earned.

The proof I point to is TalentGum, a kids’ learning brand. PR, AI SEO and paid media ran together for it, and its domain authority tripled.

AB Media Co is based in Gurgaon, at WeWork Forum in DLF Cyber City, with no Delhi office. Most of your meetings would happen on video calls.

If you’re comparing PR companies in Delhi, a PR firm in Delhi or a public relations agency in Delhi, ask each one which publications it would target.

Then ask how it would show you the work helped.

THE DELHI NCR PR MARKET, and what it means for your plan.

DELHI, INDIA

Media coverage for brands in Delhi works a little differently from the rest of India, and the best plan reflects that. These four facts should shape your digital PR and public relations budget here.

01

Delhi NCR is one search with many addresses

People search for “pr agency in delhi ncr”, “pr agency in new delhi” and “pr agency in south delhi”. Your company facts, bylines and press releases should name your area and Delhi NCR the same way each time, so every mention points to one business.

02

Hindi coverage now reaches the AI answer

Google’s AI Mode answers in Hindi. If your customers ask in Hindi or Hinglish, Hindi publications can shape what that answer says about you, so a Hindi story might do work an English one can’t.

03

Delhi PR fees often run higher

A Blue Buzz guide says Mumbai and Delhi PR agencies typically charge 30 to 60% more than firms in Bengaluru, Pune or Hyderabad, and most expect a six-month minimum. That’s an agency claim, but it’s a good reason to compare scope line by line.

04

Guaranteed coverage is paid space

People also search for “guaranteed media coverage”. A guaranteed spot is a paid placement, and India’s 2022 guidelines on misleading advertisements cover how paid content describes your product, so label it and keep each claim provable.

  1. 01

A citation map before the first PR pitch

You get a list of the publications and pages Google and ChatGPT already cite when they recommend your competitors. Your PR target list comes from that, and you see it before you sign.

  2. 02

Earned stories for the journalists who cover you

Data pieces, founder commentary and product news, pitched one journalist at a time. Earned coverage can’t be guaranteed, and a paid placement is never called earned.

  3. 03

    Sponsored features, clearly labeled

Paid features in titles such as Forbes India, Outlook, Business Standard, Hindustan Times or Digital Journal, agreed up front, carrying the publication’s sponsored label and reported apart from earned media.

  4. 04

    Press releases written for search

Fully Managed Services clients get two to three syndicated press releases a month, each with the same company facts, so Google and AI tools connect each mention to you.

  5. 05

Hindi and English coverage in Delhi NCR

If your customers read Hindi, your Hindi stories get planned alongside English ones, written by people who read the language.

  6. 06

    Digital PR for AI search

Coverage is picked for the sources AI tools use. Your brand mentions in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews get checked monthly.

  7. 07

Reporting that ties public relations to search

Branded search, referral traffic, brand mentions and AI citations, reported monthly. Advertising value equivalency isn’t used.

PR AGENCY IN DELHI: what you should ask before you sign.

REAL QUESTIONS, ANSWERED PROPERLY

Which is the best PR agency in Delhi?

The best PR agency in Delhi for you is the one that shows its target publications up front, separates earned from paid coverage, and tracks results in search.

Rankings and award logos can’t show you any of that.

People search for “pr agency delhi”, “best pr agency delhi”, “best pr agency in delhi ncr” and even “top pr agency in delhi”, so most of them start with a list of the best names. That’s fine, but a list of the best PR company in Delhi candidates is only a starting point.

A lot of Delhi businesses have paid for public relations and got clippings no customer read. How do you avoid that?

You can ask each agency which publications in India it would target for your industry, and why. Then ask how it decides between an earned pitch and a sponsored feature.

Ask who writes your pitches and talks to journalists each week. And ask if branded search or AI citations appear in the monthly report.

In my experience, the best answers are specific and a little cautious. The weakest ones promise you guaranteed coverage in a named title.

The best fit for a consumer brand might be a poor one for B2B, so check fit before fame.

I’d put that test first, before price or the best-looking deck.

Is a PR agency in Delhi NCR different from one in New Delhi or South Delhi?

Not really, because Delhi NCR works as one media and search market, so an agency’s reach matters far more than its address.

People search for “pr agency in delhi ncr”, “pr agency in new delhi” and “pr agency in south delhi” side by side. That shows you how customers move between them.

This matters for your public relations plan.

A journalist on a national desk doesn’t care if your PR partner sits in Connaught Place or Cyber City. They care if the story is good and the facts hold up.

Where location does matter is your own brand facts. You can use one name, one address and one description of what you do across your website, press releases and profiles.

If one story says Saket and another says Delhi NCR, AI tools might treat them as two businesses.

Let’s say you run a clinic chain with branches in South Delhi and Noida. Your press releases should list the branches the same way each time, so each mention adds to one brand.

It’s a small detail, but it’s one of the best and cheapest PR wins you can get.

What does a digital PR agency in Delhi actually do?

It gets credible publications to mention your brand, then makes sure those mentions count in Google and AI search.

Classic public relations stops at the clipping. Digital PR follows that clipping into search, and this is the part most agencies skip.

People search for “what does a pr agency do”, “digital pr services in delhi”, “digital pr vs traditional pr” and “digital pr vs seo”, because the labels cover very different work.

Some public relations agencies in Delhi run events. Some manage celebrities, and some mostly send press releases.

Which one do you need?

Here’s what a month of digital PR should include for you. Someone updates the citation map and sends pitches to the journalists who cover your industry.

Someone books any agreed sponsored features. Someone also checks how ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews describe your brand.

After that, you can see a report on what was published, where, and what changed in branded search.

This helps you see the value of each story.

Digital PR also helps your AI SEO, because coverage builds the mentions search engines use as trust signals. But it isn’t link building.

If an agency can’t describe its month this clearly, keep looking for your best fit.

How much does a PR agency cost in Delhi?

Expect a monthly PR fee based on the publications and stories you need, with any sponsored features priced on top.

People search for “how much does a pr agency cost” and “pr agency cost per month”, and the published figures in India run wide.

One PR founder writing in PRmoment put D2C fees as low as about ₹25K a month, national brands at about ₹60K to ₹80K, and bigger budgets at ₹300K to ₹500K.

A Blue Buzz guide gives about ₹50K to ₹500K or more. It also says Delhi and Mumbai agencies typically charge 30 to 60% more than Bengaluru, Pune or Hyderabad.

Those are other agencies’ public relations claims, not a rate card, so use them as bands.

Sponsored features are a separate cost set by each publication, and prices vary a lot between titles. Ask for your best and worst case.

At AB Media Co, every engagement starts with a free mini audit. If you continue, the ₹30,000 full audit is credited to your first month’s fee.

I recommend comparing PR fees only after you’ve compared what each agency will track.

Which numbers will you see each month?

How long does PR take to show results for a Delhi brand?

Your first placements can appear within weeks, but changing what Google and AI tools say about you takes months of steady coverage.

Why so slow? One story gets read, indexed and then forgotten.

Search engines build their view of your brand from many sources over time. That’s why Ahrefs found brand mentions across the web tracked AI Overview visibility more closely than backlinks.

Here’s how AB Media Co plans the timeline.

In the first month, you get the citation map, the target list and the first pitches.

By around the third month, your coverage should be appearing on the sources AI tools already cite. By around the sixth month, branded search and AI citations should be moving from where you started.

That’s a working plan for public relations, not an industry benchmark, and nobody can promise the exact pace.

A common mistake is buying one public relations launch burst, seeing a spike, then stopping. The spike fades, and so does the memory.

The downside of earned media is patience. But it keeps working after the spend stops.

If you can’t commit six months, you’re likely better off saving the budget.

Should a Delhi brand get coverage in Hindi publications as well as English?

If your customers read or search in Hindi, yes, because Google’s AI Mode answers in Hindi and Hindi coverage can shape that answer.

One language rarely fits everyone you sell to in Delhi NCR.

For example, a B2B software customer in Okhla probably reads the English business press. A family choosing a school or a home in Dwarka might read Hindi news first and ask in Hinglish.

How do you decide? You can start with your own data.

Check your Search Console for Hindi and Hinglish searches. Then ask your sales team which language callers use.

If Hindi shows up, plan Hindi stories alongside English ones. Don’t just translate your English press release.

Hindi desks want their own angle, and a machine translation is easy to spot.

Keep your brand name, numbers and facts the same in both languages, so AI tools see one business.

This helps your public relations work in both languages.

If your customers only search in English, this Hindi coverage can wait, and that’s the best use of a small budget. Spend that money on more English stories in the publications that matter to your industry.

Earned media or a sponsored article: what should a Delhi brand pay for?

Pay for both only if you know what each one does, because earned media is what AI tools cite and a sponsored article buys reach.

Neither replaces the other, and the best plans use both.

People search for “sponsored article” and “digital pr for ai search”, and this is where the two meet.

Muck Rack analyzed more than 25 million links cited by ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. It found earned media behind 84% of citations, and paid or advertorial content behind 0.3%.

This means sponsored features alone are a weak AI search strategy.

But sponsored features still help. You get a page you control, on your date, in a title your customers read.

That’s useful for a launch or a funding round, for example a Series A announcement.

The rule that can’t bend is the label. A paid placement should carry the publication’s sponsored tag, and paid links should be marked sponsored or nofollow under Google’s spam policies.

My rule: use sponsored features for reach and earned stories for trust, and never mix up the two in your reports.

Is press release distribution enough, or do we need a PR agency?

Press release distribution alone is rarely enough, because it puts your facts on record but journalists seldom write stories from a wire release.

People search for “press release distribution” because it’s cheap and quick. Your release appears on dozens of websites.

The trouble? Most of those websites have few readers, and search engines give them little weight. Do you want your news there?

Here’s where a press release can help you. It gives journalists and AI tools one clean version of your facts: names, numbers, dates and the right spelling of your brand.

It records news like funding, a launch or a partnership. And repeated over months, it builds a trail that ties your name to your industry.

What it doesn’t do is pitch.

A journalist writes about you because someone sent a story that fits their beat, with data or a view they can use.

On the Fully Managed Services plan, your syndicated releases sit alongside earned pitching and sponsored features, not instead of them.

Use releases to keep the record straight, and pitches to get your story told.

That’s the best split you can use.

Should we hire a PR agency, a freelancer or an in-house PR person in Delhi?

Choose based on the news you actually have: a freelancer for one launch, an agency for a steady plan, and in-house once stories come monthly.

People search for “pr agency vs in house”, “how to choose a pr agency” and “pr agency for startups”. The question comes up most with Delhi companies that have just raised money.

An in-house public relations manager knows your business deeply. But one person can’t easily cover pitching, writing, sponsored buying and search tracking at once.

A freelance PR consultant gives you a direct line and lower costs. The gap is depth, and few freelancers track branded search or AI citations.

An agency brings a team and contacts. You can also end up paying senior prices for junior work, so ask who will write your pitches.

If you’re looking for a PR agency for startups, here’s a useful test you can run. Do you have three stories worth telling?

If not, start with a fact sheet, your reviews and a founder voice, and hire later. A good PR agency for startups will tell you that.

Do you handle events, celebrity PR or crisis management in Delhi?

No, AB Media Co is a digital PR team, so there are no events, no celebrity, film or influencer management, and no crisis management.

I say this clearly because a lot of people searching for a PR agency in Delhi want exactly those services. They deserve a specialist.

Events need on-ground teams and venues. Celebrity and film PR runs on talent relationships and entertainment media.

Crisis work needs legal and media handling around the clock, and you can’t do this well part-time. These are different businesses, and doing them well takes a different team.

What you get instead is narrower, and this focus is deliberate. That means earned stories and labeled sponsored features in publications across India, plus tracking of what that coverage did for your search.

Let’s say you’re a Delhi fashion label planning a launch show. You’d hire an event agency for the show, and a digital PR team for the stories people find afterwards.

If an agency says yes to every kind of PR, ask which of those services it actually runs in-house.

What are the biggest PR mistakes Delhi brands make?

The biggest one is buying guaranteed media coverage and calling it public relations, when a guaranteed spot is paid space that should be labeled.

People search for “guaranteed media coverage”, which shows how many brands want it.

Here are the other mistakes I see most when a Delhi company has run PR for a year.

Tracking reach. For example, a report that adds up readership looks huge and tells you nothing about your customers.

Treating wire pickups as a strategy. Press release distribution on low-traffic websites rarely changes what AI tools say.

Changing your facts. If your founder’s title, launch date or numbers differ between stories, search engines can’t connect them.

Pitching without news. Journalists remember a weak pitch, and it makes your next one harder.

Running PR apart from AI SEO. Your story goes live, but your own website can’t answer the questions it raises.

Stopping too early. Public relations builds over months, so one launch burst won’t change much.

Fix the labels and the facts first.

The rest of your public relations gets easier, and your best stories go further.
